I took the kids to the Zoo solo, loaded with snacks, lunch and a plan to see the North American side. [Previously we'd seen the African spider. ]
We certainly enjoyed ourselves and knowing how things went last time helped me know what to expect. I.e. climbing on the big rocks > exotic animals. We saw a few animals but didn't go out of our way if the boys weren't interested. I kept them fed and moving we had a great time!
Uncle Kevin is visiting and we've had fun showing him around and visiting friends. Strawberry picking was delicious! Backyard volleyball, sprinkler fun and a napping Andrew ♡♡♡
We received about 4-5" of snow and ice this weekend and were snowed in Friday through Sunday. We had so much fun sledding, drinking hot cocoa, watching movies, playing board games and doing some arts and crafts.
Zach discovered a love for snow and wants to be out in it all day long. And last night, he found he could snow board on his sled. Pretty awesome.
We had a great December focusing on the birth of Jesus and the gift God gave us. We were intentional in making gifts for others and the boys enjoyed themselves. Delivering cookies and cinnamon rolls were highlights [along with the taste testing involved. ]
We had a basket full of Christmas books and read some each day.
Zach has fallen in love with soccer and can often be found kicking the ball back and forth across the backyard.
We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Andrew turning 3 and the joy he brings to our lives. He had a birthday party with family and cousins on Saturday the 12th. It was in the 70s and we took full advantage playing outside.
Drew received many thoughtful gifts and has loved playing with them. He also received some dapper clothing and shoes. Look out world. ♡
Freckles on Drew. Pretend play. And finally a walk in the rain because cabin fever! It was lovely and wet and good for our souls.
We spent a week in Fort Myers and had fun at the pool, the beach and at different parks. Josh and I were so blessed with 36 hours of kid free time and enjoyed celebrating our 12th anniversary!
