For the past 7 days we have hosted Brad & Sandra Swanson as part of Westover's Fall Global Celebration. They were visiting from Bonaire, where they work for Tans World Radio. We've given our car for visiting missionaries in the past, but have never opened our home for an extended visit. We had a wonderful time! We ate lots of candy together, drank coffee at all times of the day and enjoyed each other's company. Last night, Brad shared what TWR is doing and how God has affirmed his work these past 30 years through testimonies of pastors and leaders from different countries in the Caribbean. Very exciting!
We met three different missionary couples this past week, two who are in our age range. I used to be intimidated, thinking these people were super holy or something. Actually, they 're very normal and flawed just like the rest of us. Their lives are simply being used in a different way. Below, Sandra is showing off her very chic nose ring!
