I have procrastinated on writing this post. Our sweet son is changing daily and here he is, already 7 months old. Much has happened in the 6th month of his life- so much that I have to consult the baby book to get the details.
Zachary weighed 20 pounds even at his doctor visit. He measured 26.25 inches long.
Skills: Zach can transfer objects from one hand to the other. He takes a marked interest in grocery ads, bills, paper of any sort- this is fun to crunch and bang. He is able to rolled from his back to his front and then back to his back. Has not figured out front to back movement (perhaps his belly is getting in the way here ??? ) He's also moving all over his crib- kicking at the bumper and banging his feet on the mattress. Here's a pic of Zach stuck. He's crying here and wants immediate help. :)
Eating: still eating 4 times a day and averaging 28-30 oz. We have been introducing lots of foods and he seems to enjoy tasting them. He especially loves bread, tomatoes and peaches. Photo below is of a sliced plum. He loved it and sometimes just chews on it in his mouth. Recently, he has started to take 'bites' and pull the food away and chew the bite in his mouth. It's a neat little progression- vs. holding the food to his mouth and chewing.
Below pic is Zach stuck on his tummy. Not sure how the toy sun got in there- that's his current favorite toy. :)
Personality: He's very observant of new situations. He loves to yell and make noises. He can babble /dada/ /yaya/ and has continued his glottal trill. :) Zach has some anxiety when he's separated from me (Mommy). I do not mind this one bit and am thrilled to be the one to settle him. <3
Out little boy is 7 months old!!!! I can't believe it. Life is going too quickly. We love our little lovebug and it is such a privilege to be his Mommy and Daddy!
