Potty!!!

most of the world has already seen this pic, thanks to the magic of facebook. but, in case you haven't, here's our little guy the night of his first pee in the potty.

we've taught him a sign and corresponding sound for each elimination.  he's had lots and lots of naked time this summer, so we've had plenty of opportunities to use these signs/sounds.  :)
we didn't know what to expect when we put him on it, but it was after dinner, the timing was right, and I gave the sign/sound for pee and little man did his thing!
***i have no intentions of hard-core potty training- but i do plan to continue opportunities for him to learn.***

update:  he's peed in his potty every day since this pic.  there's plenty of misses, but overall, i think he's getting it.  also, the official term for this is elimination communication.  i love the theory, but we're just winging it and making it work for us.
