the Road Runner

Words can't do justice for how proud my little brother Kevin makes me. He is a gifted runner.  As in, he runs and it's beautiful.  He glides.  It appears effortless.  Blink- and he's gone.

Today he ran a half marathon in 1:24:46.  That's a pace of 6.28 a mile for 13.1 miles.  A.Ma.Zing.

Kev's cheering squad
We met him near the finish line.

Kevin surpassed this guy moments after I snapped this picture.
Sorry dude.  ;)
Notice the difference in what they're wearing too- Kev probably could have had a faster time without the extra weight/drag of pants and a L/S shirt.

can you find a sweet little hand?
I cry during moments like this.  My brother.  The superstar.

It was a beautiful day in North Carolina.  60's and sunny.  We were at a park, there was a band playing, kids running around, water fountains spraying.  We celebrated Kevin, hung out till the awards ceremony- which he won an award- and really enjoyed the morning.

My sweet kids were just awesome.  Zachary made friends and had fun chasing them around a grassy area.  Andrew was a doll.  He took 2 naps on me and was happy and content to look at everything around him.

Great day!
