adapted from Bev's Chocolate Chip Cookies
* I increased the oats, substituted applesauce for oil and decreased the chocolate chips
1 C oats (quick cooking)
1 C whole wheat flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1/4 C butter, softened
1/4 C unsweetened applesauce
1/3 C sugar
1/3 C brown sugar
1 lg. egg
1 t vanilla
3/4 C chocolate chips
Combine oats, flour, baking soda, salt. In separate bowl, beat butter till fluffy. Add applesauce, sugars, eggs and vanilla till smooth and creamy. Slowly add dry ingredients till just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by heaping teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake about 8 minutes at 350.
Serve with milk.

Seriously, you got my attention...low fat choc. chip cookies. Choc chip cookies and french fries are my downfall. Love this recipe. :)
but guess what, you posted this on last weeks Tasty Tuesday. :) Off to double check.
