The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. Psalm 23: 1
Sunday am we got up, enjoyed coffee on the porch overlooking the street. It is a beautiful country with lush greenery, beautiful flowers and birds. We attended Westside Church that morning and enjoyed worship lead by several teens in the group. Afterwards we went to the Police Youth Club to meet some of the residents and have some pizza. The Trinis like ketchup on top of their pizza. I tried it, but it just tastes like ketchup. haha! After lunch and some visiting time, we piled into the van and heard the news that we were going to the beach!!
Maracas Beach is a wonderful little beach that we visited last year. So we packed our beach stuff up at the Guest House and were on our way. On the way to the beach there's a scenic viewing area that we stopped at last year. There was an elderly man playing a guitar hoping for tips, and he sing and makes up songs about you or what you're wearing, whatever. Made it to the beach on an overcast day- the water was warm and the waves were big! It was so fun! Then it started to rain on us, but we kept swimming. Josh was sleeping during this time on the beach and just covered up with a towel, silly man. He did wake up to play touch football with the guys and some of the girls. We met Fabian, family and Richard there. Enjoyed a 'shark & bake' sandwich, a must have if you're ever at Maracas beach. Really a fun day.
