Farmer Josh

Josh has been busy farming these days. He's involved in a church ministry activity known as Gleaning.

Josh has been harvesting crops with volunteers and local farmers for the sole purpose of giving it away to local food banks, church organizations, non profit agencies. It's a wonderful ministry. When Josh heard that there was extra help needed to harvest and maintain the crops (ie weeding, plowing, etc.) he jumped right in. Only later did he find that the farmer could pay him.

So, he's been out in the fields, working in the hot NC sun. He's gleaned sweet potatoes, new potatoes and now, corn. He's loving the hard work and especially, the treat of being able to bring some home. Of course, we don't keep all of it. He goes door- to-door giving away to our neighbors as well.

My man has a big heart, y'all.

And he loves that he recently got to ride a tractor. (see song in sidebar)
